The Works is the eleventh studio album by Queen. It was released in 1984. This album included four singles the ever-popular ‘Radio Ga Ga,” “I Want to Break Free,” another favorite, “It’s a Hard Life,” and ‘Hammer to Fall.” This album also included two Christmas songs “I Dream of Christmas,” and “Thank God It’s Christmas.” Considering that the release of the album was in February either Queen missed Christmas or wanted to be early for the next holiday.
On this album, I like two of the singles equally so I chose to include “I Want to Break Free’ here. Besides I just love the video with all of them dressed up as ladies.

Radio Ga Ga was written by the band's drummer and charted at #2 in the UK. It was inspired after watching MTV. He noticed that lots of kids were watching the channel instead of listening to the radio.

@RasmaSandra Yes, back then no MTV, cassettes or CD's. Affordable and you could take it anywhere with you

I love the video to “I Want to Break Free.” That’s so funny (and, of course, it falls right in with the British penchant for dressing in drag).
