My Hair is Almost This Length Minus the Bangs

Happy Happy Friday friends!
As many of you know, it’s our Friday date night. I’m placing an order for grocery delivery in a few minutes, and after sanitizing it, my day is free.
So, back to my hair. I refuse to risk my life going to my Connecticut hairdresser. He called over one month ago to tell me he’s opened for business. Masks for each of us.
He now works from his house in an enclosed breezeway with one chair, one shampoo sink and chair, one dryer and chair, a display case containing his products and those for purchase, and an extra chair or two for clients.
I’ve been going to him for years, and we are good friends. He often invites me into his house for a drink and a visit with his husband. The best part is that he lives in my town and is a three minute drive away.
I told him I just can’t come in. I can’t do it. I can’t risk my life for a haircut. He understands.
So what if it’s getting long again? Hubby and my son think it’s a nice change and like it. I’m making do with it. I may even curl it for Friday date night!

@DianneN I need sunglasses. My sister gave me a pair, but they disappeared when my son had the car for a month. No one knows what happened to them. I keep forgetting to buy them until I see them as I walk out of the store. One of these days I'll remember going in.

I think it looks very nice. You are so right by not going in and getting your hair done it is not worth the risk at all.

I don't like doing those things anyway, I have no problem cutting my hair myself. Actually I learned years ago. I bet your husband likes your hair long anyway. Most men I have known like womens' hair long. It looks really cute in the picture! I was about to color my hair and can't find the darned box. Might have to spring for another one. I was going to try to get a lighter color. Might as well experiment when nobody is seeing me haha. Enjoy date night!

My husband can't stand short hair on women.
I hope you find your box, but I'm sure that if it turns up in several months, you'd be able to still use it.

@LadyDuck I'm glad you will leave your hair just as your husband likes it. My husband always likes my hair length just as long as I don't look like a man.. He absolutely hates short hair on women, no matter how beautiful they may or may not look. My avatar photo is as short as he can stand it.
Thanks! I intended to have a beauty day, but hubs told me to wash that mask off my face and get myself ready for a ride in the sports car. We took a lovely ride in the countryside with the top up and no stopping. Once we returned home, it was martini time and the rest of the night went beautifully.

@DianneN I think you look beautiful! I would enjoy it also. I have thought so many times that I should go back to coloring my hair but then I think about how long it took for my hair to grow out to it's natural gray now and I just don't know.

OMG! you look so pretty.
same for me. i have not yet gone to the saloon to have my hair trimmed, and it is long now.
my sister, broke my silence really, told me she will trim my hair. she did it but with just a few inches. my hair is still long it touches the back of my shoulders.

@DianneN yes, it was kind of her to do that but i am sad because the hair at the side of my face, left, is not equal in length as the right side. my bangs is also slanting. haha. but i appreciated her action for me.

I love your hair at shoulder length! I use to keep my that long and it was simple to maintain.
I wore a bobbed cut for three years and loved it! The only problem, with bone straight hair when it grew an inch, the bottom wouldn't curl under. I liked the pageboy cut at my chin line. Now, it's long, simply because I couldn't go to a beautician every 6 weeks.

Thanks, Kharla! My younger son told me he didn't like my hair so short, and my husband never liked women with short short hair. Some tell me I look more youthful with it shorter, and others like it long. Me, I have no idea!
My hair isn't bone straight, unfortunately. I wish it were. I had it straightened many years ago and bone straight hair looked awful on me. The only good thing was that I could let it dry naturally and it came out straight. I love your hair chin length and long. You are so lucky!!!

@DianneN I have tried to use hair-ties or barrettes, but they slide out! My hair is baby fine, everything damages it, sun, wind, washing it often, dye, bleach, permanents, hair-care products, most shampoos and conditioners. It's a pain in the neck!

It looks great on you, hope you had fun on date night. I did go and got mine cut last month I think. I felt quite safe with empty chairs in between and everyone wore masks. I feel that if I am destined to get this then I will no matter what I do to prevent it.but not everyone thinks like me.

@DianneN hmmm i see no difference except that the hair at the back is longer. and you got your hair done in your profile photo, of course it looks nicer in it
