If there is one deal about being a firefighter, it is that they have incredible courage to rappel down from the top of a building to rescue someone who trapped 15 stories above the ground while he was washing windows in a 23 story condominium in North Palm Beach Florida.
The amazing part of this story that the window washer got in trouble when the rope that he used to climb up and down while sitting on a basket seat harness came loose.
The window washer was trapped for about one hour before a special operations team of firefighters from Palm Beach County used ropes that they hurled down from the top of the condo to where the window washer was.
The special operations firefighters used a rope to tie up the window washer and take him down to the ground floor safe and sound.
The firefighters admit that this was the first rescue of a window washer in three decades.
The condition of the window washer whose name was not released due to privacy issues is that the is in good condition.
As for me, you could pay me a pretty penny to ask me to wash windows at a condo. I will gladly turn it down.

Window washers follow safety guidelines and wear safety harness but it's surprising how he got into grave danger. He must have checked the rope before starting his window washing job.

I believe that the window washer did follow the safety rules before he started to work in that building. What happened with the defective rope could have a once in a lifetime accident.

@Deepizzaguy It would be very difficult to do much to help yourself in that situation.

If I were in his shoes, I would be praying hard for someone to rescue me from that height.

I agree with you since it takes a lot of courage to rappel down a tall building to save a life.
