I woke up with a documentary: planting native trees.

In my country, and for centuries, the impressive native trees have been destroyed. In some places the land has been used for cattle to raise cows for meat and in other places ancient trees of hard wood have been turned into chips. After that they plant trees that grow quickly. And nature is destroyed.
We know that if you cut a tree that takes 1000 or more years to grow it is a catastrophe, many times worse than an earthquake.
A native community in my country has a nursery. They gather small trees and seeds or seedlings and then plant them. They do their work with chants in ther native tongue (Mapudungun) so they are also preserving their culture.
Dear lotters. I woke up to pride today. Because although I am the descendant of immigrants, the wonder of our land is that we are mixed. And our task now is to preserve the land that has given us this possibility.
What do you think about this?

Our forests are being destroyed at a record pace. Some companies plant a tree for every tree that is cut. That way the timber is sustained.

But many times they are not the native trees.

@LindaOHio Native trees where I live do not shed their leaves. A foreign though will shed them and change the acidity of the soil.

Some trees should not be cut at all. They are endangered species.

@marguicha Really? I didn't know that. I agree, if it is an endangered species, then the trees shouldn't be cut at all.

It is good, but not enough. Because if you cut a tree that takes over a thousand years to grow, there is no way to replace it with trees that grow in a few years.
