{Old Advertisements} This Day in 1920 (Happy Birthday 7/20 Mylotters)

This was taken from Carson City daily appeal. [volume], July 20, 1920 and found on LOC.GOV I meant to do this the second week of July as well, but oh well. This ad introduces a two plug which allows for multiple items being plugged into the same socket. I wonder how reliable it was in those days? Were there power surges or shortages? Did it blow the socket? hmm...

Everything was and so many people didn't have the luxury of electricity.

@gr8nana6 The rich, and I imagine a few of the inventors friends and family members. I would guess they'd be testers of the products.

Angie's birthday is today (Andria Perry). I wouldn't trust anything electric from 1920.

Lots of 'em today. Julia, Angie and Gill and according to Mykl, a lady from the Phillippines too. No, I wouldn't either trust it either.

I have sent a couple of well wishes. I have always more things than I have sockets.

I have one of those six socket things plugged into my regular socket, and I have a power strip / surge protector on my desk for my laptop, television and roku. Eventually technology and science will figure out a way to have everything on a renewable charge without the need for sockets.

Haha yeah it's a risky affair because many times it can shut down the electricity

I'm thinking about how new electricity was in 1920 and how many people had some unforeseen things happening.
