Preserving sanity during lockdown

How are you keeping yourself sane during isolation? I am naturally a bit of a hermit and spend about 75% of my time alone under regular circumstances so I assumed that this would be easy for me - it's not. I don't know what to do with myself except spend time on the internet hoping to find income opportunities - I suppose being without a job is adding to my decreasing levels of sanity, but so is the fact that I am no longer free to do whatever I want. I think the latter is what is getting to me the most, I don't feel free. I'm curious to know what type of activities, practices or routines you employ to help manage your mental health and overall well-being?

To satisfy your curiosity here: I practice piano, read, play chess, garden, cook a little, watch a little TV here and there. And of course, spend time online

@marlina you are very talented! I'm envious of your musical talent most since I wish I had stuck with my piano Lessons... I did up to grade two and can still read music but VERY slowly!!! I tried picking it back up through self-study a few years ago and I pasted "a" to "g" little stickers on the keys and also wrote the notes on the sheet music because of how rusty I was ?? I was forced to learn an instrument as a child and as a result i just couldn't get the hang of it, too much pressure. Thanks so much for sharing and reminding me that my love for music extends beyond just listening to it and pretending to be on stage performing lol I think I might actually take up Singing again, I'm sure there are virtual vocal coaches.

Welcome to myLot! MyLot is one interesting way to spend some time each day. I also watch movies, listen to music, do exercises and dancing. I also have time to do research on subjects of interest and questions that I am wondering about. I find that each day goes by pretty fast.

I have been having some of the same struggles. Actually, probably a little worse for me since I am normally pretty social. It's been hard. I spend way too much time on the internet now, that's for sure. But to help with my stress levels, I do like to workout and exercise, and try to go for a run each day when I can.

For me just keeping my mind and body active with many interests. I do yoga, meditate, read, like taking long walks, gardening, interacting on My Lot, leisurely bike rides and listening to music. Everyone must find their own way when it comes to activities. Pursue your interests or try new things. Perhaps you will enjoy them.

I used most of my time now with my daughter then gardening. I do some of my work during night time since it does not require much of my time as long as I deliver the output on time.

I'm also online mostly trying to make money but it eats into my interaction with those around me, do you feel like you can control your online time?
