Thunderstorms Finally Arrived Yesterday

Right before sunset I was taking photos of the nice blue skies and white clouds.
Five minutes later those clouds were rain clouds.
The thunder started, then lightning, then the rain poured.
Was so happy to get this much needed rain. And we might get more today.
My grass and flowers are happy for now after the shower they got.
Still going to be around 90 today, but for now things are not so bad.

The biggest boom I heard out of Nashville yesterday was that my man Eddie Stubbs is retiring from WSM and the Opry. 
We’ve been having pop-up storms, and it strangely gets loud overnight (usually, “they” say, storms fueled by heat and humidity weaken and dissipate overnight).

@CarolDM — he’s a sweetheart. He just got married, too....don’t know if he’s going to go to Willie’s Roadhouse on SiriusXM, go back to making music (he’s going into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame this fall as a member of the Johnson Mountain Boys), or what.
I just wish I knew the country music knowledge that’s in that man’s little finger.

It's been raining off and on throughout the day here. I think we are getting outer bands of that tropical disturbance that is making its way into the Gulf of Mexico as it heads towards Houston. I hope it stays disorganized and doesn't turn into anything more than a rainmaker.

Yes! lightning, thunder and we had nickle sized hail here in El Paso, TX it rained a bit, good 10 minutes, I think ?
Looking forward to rain every late afternoon or every night to have fresh air! :-)

We have been getting rain on a pretty regular basis. It's going to be 90ish again over the weekend. Stay cool, safe and healthy!

We had some rain last night and maybe one clap of thunder and two or three lightening strikes. Didn't amount to much but now they're saying severe thunderstorms this afternoon. Unfortunately it's still very hot here today.
