Summers are good for pop up storms

I asked google a moment ago if it was supposed to rain. Google seemed to think it was highly unlikely, but I was looking out the window at the time and didn't agree.
It still hasn't rained, but I am loving the thunder that is rolling through.
It's a good thing to crochet by. Currently making a hotpad for a friend.

We had a storm I believe it was last week we lost power for over 24 hours it sucked. Glad you are enjoying your crocheting

I can deal with no power as long as I have physical books to read and sunlight and / or the oil lamp.
Thanks! It's relaxing.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yeah I had books on my kindle I could read but once it needed charging I had to charge it in the truck which was not bad. As for crocheting you are right it is very relaxing.

@Tina30219 Ah yeah, I kind of forgot about the need to charge things.
Eventually I want to get another kindle, but it will be one of the newer gen ones.

I love it, as long as it's not extremely loud. I grew up sitting in the den with the tv off while it stormed.

Due to the events of Hurricane Hanna traveling south of Lake Charles, they have been a few brief showers which is a relief from the extreme heat.

Yes, the rain is definitely well received. I hope it doesn't get any worse then that. I haven't been tracking Hanna.

@ScribbledAdNauseum The Lake Charles area was spared any heavy rain.

We will get rain again tomorrow. It's bright and sunny (and hot and muggy) here today.

@LindaOHio Ah yes. Well, I'd take the shorter days for the nicer temps and pretty leaves.

Yes, it's good to be alone so we don't have to deal with chatter from loved ones. I want silence when it's storming.

@sophie09 I understand. I know not everyone likes them. I grew up listening to and loving them.

No it didn't. It rained a few days ago which dropped our temps just slightly.

It's been blue skies here all day. I wouldn't mind another pop up storm, but that doesn't seem likely.
