Senryu: Sadness
Sadness cried softly.
Nobody heard her pained tears.
Except love, her friend.
"Every human walks around with a certain kind of sadness. They may not wear it on their sleeves, but it's there if you look deep."
Taraji P. Henson, an American actress said this.
What is sadness, and what is its purpose?
Sadness is simply the expression of the taste of God's love in a vessel of despondency.
Sadness's purpose is to let you taste the inner depths of that love in a uniquely truthful way.

The sad eyes of a coming death are perhaps the saddest eyes that I have ever seen.

I believe that if I am sad I get more closer to my God

Yes, I feel that too, in fact, I think I get closer to God, from my sadness, than I do from my love.

@amitkokiladitya Yes, deep, heartfelt sadness connects us to God's strength too, l think.
Only God can really ever strengthen us, as we really need to be strengthened.

If I feel sad then I put my all feelings to God, then go for my work. I strongly believe in our struggles time God give correct direction.

@Lavanya15 We should always hang on.
God holds onto us, even in our sadness's too.

sadness is the well from which we drink. More, as we get older. But with wisdom comes the knowledge that we can taste the sadness but then we must let it go.

Some of us never get that wisdom to let go, and swim in the well of sadness all of our lives, preferring to obtain our wisdom from that well's inner connection to God's living waters itself.
We can connect to God in many ways, and we never are forced to let go of our own way.
Do we need to let go of sadness, or not?
Perhaps we should let go of nothing, but hang onto nothing either.
Not hanging on is the same as letting go, in some ways, but not in all ways, as not letting go is allowing what is to be, whereas hanging on is not allowing what is to be, but trying to force it to be.
Even letting go, if it is a decision to do so, is really hanging on still then, if you get what I meant here.

@DocAndersen Who lets go of who though? What lets go of what?
Does God need to let go of himself too then?
If we let anything go, are we still a part of oneness?
Do we need to accept all, warts and all then, instead?
Does God ever stop shining the right light at us?
Are we not always ready?
Can we lose our paths, or lose ourselves on our path?
If we are soul, does our soul ever let go of us, or if we think that we are just a human being, can we ever really drop our soul from us completely too, by our letting go of it?

@innertalks if we don't let go we can lose us. But then many do lose their paths. The light doesn't always shine when we aren't looking but it always shines when we are ready.
