I don't think there is any harm if your body is used to it.

I like to shower in the evening as it akes me sleep better. The only reason I can think of not to would be if going to bed with wet hair would give you a stiff neck.

Perhaps what they meant is, it's not good to take bath only in the evenings because in hot places it's better to take bath during the morning time even if you can't afford the evening bath so as to feel fresh and energetic throughout the day.

Dangers of Bathing in the Night for Health Although it can cleanse and refresh your body, bathing at night is dangerous for your body's health, including the following: 1. Premature aging Did you know that bathing at night can trigger metabolic disorders? This turned out to have an impact on the process of fat metabolism that is not smooth and can eventually cause wrinkled skin. Surely you want to avoid the danger of bathing this night, right? 2. Wet lungs Quite a lot of people think that the effect of a night shower can cause wet lungs. Not unexpectedly, this turned out to be true. Frequent night bathing will make the body more susceptible to respiratory problems such as coughing and other respiratory problems. 3. Gout The dangers of bathing in the night with cold water risk causing pain in the joints, which in turn will increase the risk of gout problems. 4. Muscle pain The effect of a night shower with cold water before going to sleep will make the pores open and eventually trigger the problem of pain in the muscles. 5. Fever If at night the air temperature tends to be hot, then the body temperature will also slightly increase so that the skin pores will open. If we take a shower with cold water, the water can seep into the open skin and eventually make the body's heat temperature mixed with cold water. As a result of bathing tonight will make the immune system decline making it more susceptible to viruses and eventually cause fever. 6. Rheumatism Bathing at night can possibly cause rheumatic disease. This autoimmune disease occurs in inflammation of the joints, which causes joint pain. Although the cause of rheumatism is not yet known, but according to health experts, rheumatism is caused by genetic disorders. 7. Disrupted body metabolism As mentioned before, bathing at night causes the pores to open so that water enters the body, which disrupts the body's hormones and metabolism. This is because the body at night starts to weaken and needs rest. 8. Ostroporosis Unexpected! Frequent night showers are more likely to develop osteoporosis. This is because bone loss occurs when you bath at night. 9. catch a cold Not only causes fever, due to bathing at night is also at risk of catching a cold. It will be even more risky if your body temperature is high. If you often take a shower at night after returning from work, you should stop if you do not want to catch a cold. Clean certain parts of the body such as cleaning the face, mouth, hands and feet. 10. Colds Not only causes colds and fevers, the danger of taking a night bath is the risk of having a cold or nasal congestion. After leaving work, the body feels tired and sticky so you really want to freshen up by bathing. However, if the body temperature is high or the heat is about to take a shower, this is not recommended.
