Wow! I missed this news. I’ve read Jane Eyre, but never saw the movie. I loved her in Gone with the Wind. I have seen it at least three times. It’s a classic despite having Mammie in it.

@amadeo Yes and The Heiress and The Lady In The Cage, etc., etc. I posted a great tribute to her on facebook where someone who worked as an aide for her when she was 90! I think a lot of people are mixing up what you said--Joan played in Jane Eyre not Olivia!!

Oh such a lovely actress. I love Gone with the wind and especially Scarlett O'Hara character. As for Jane Eyre it is one of my favorite books by Charlotte Bronte
