thunder kept me up at night

Since rainy season has started, we get a few rain showers here and there and sometimes heavy rain... which is fine, as long as there is no thunder and lightning.

Unfortunately they usually go hand in hand and last night it was so near. The lightning made it seem like it was daytime and the thunder was so loud and surprising.. i really can't sleep, fortunately it only lasted for less than an hour. What do you usually do in situations like that? Does thunder bother you?

Sometime when it is too severe. Normally that takes place at night and prefer to sleep quite.

It still did up to now. When I was a kid, I was scare of thunder.

I've always loved to watch the lightning, but the sound of thunder scares me. It is odd, as we should in fact fear the lightning more than the sound that follows after.

I love watching lightning too.. it looks so beautiful from afar. But yeah, it is deadly.

The only awful thing about thunder is the sound.

@lady1993 exactly, often it is the beautiful things which kills us, and the terrifying things that are safe. Odly how the world is put together.

Somehow yes. it is very loud and it makes you scary and annoyed.

Well I had a peaceful night as it was raining without any thunder but yes thunder bother me a lot. I'm scared of lightning and the loud sound
