A six year old girl is thankful that a person riding a kayak and a person who was riding on a boat rescued her from drowning at sea when the inflatbale that she and her relative was caught up in a rough water in a beach in Victoria Canada. The relative who most likely was her grandmother went on the inflatbale that looked like a pizza entered rough waters at the Pipers Lagoon Park when the grandmother came back to the shore to report that her granddaughter was in danger of floating away into the sea. The mother of the child asked Dave and his family to help her daughter come back to the beach safely. While Dave's wife called the authorities for help, Dave and some beachgoers joined him in an attempt to rescue the girl who was in trouble when her inflatable was going away from the beach. Even though Dave and the others could not reach the young girl in time due to the rough waters. a kayaker managed to pick up the girl. A person driving a boat then assisted the kayaker to take the girl back to the shore where she received medical attention and was released to be with her relatives. The kayaker took Dave back to shore as he was safe and sound as well. Even though spending time in the beach is fun, the rule of thumb is for everyone to stay close to the shore since rough water can drag anyone out to sea with dangerous consequences.

That's awesome. What's the difference between kayak and csnoe?

A kayak is a small and narrow boat designed for one person. The canoe is a narrow boat that has more than one paddler.

I agree with you since it would have been heartbreak if the girl had drowned.

@Deepizzaguy Yes, that would be a heartbreaking situation. That girl has a good guardian angel.

Those floats are so dangerous in the sea. That was a wonderful rescue.

@Deepizzaguy Now is not the time to go to any beach with the virus so rampant.

You are right since the swimmers who were in pursuit of the child was getting tired from the long distance swim.

Well done to the person on the kayak for rescuing the little girl. Time was the essence and terrible things can happen in rough sea water. Also well done to Dave and his wife. The people brought in to assist must be very happy with the person that saved her.

The most important rule never get on an inflatable if you are a small child and particularly not with grandma. Glad they were saved.

I am also happy that the young girl was saved from drowning by the kayak person since the girl could have swept away into a danger zone where a ferry was in the area.

Things that float that you sit on are quite dangerous as you can easily be swept out to sea.

I agree with you since all of the swimmers who attempted to rescue the girl simply ran out of steam to continue going out to the sea area.

The girl is really lucky to be alive. The Kayaker was indeed a life saver present at the right time. Venturing out into the sea could have dangerous consequence.

That is true since rough waters are nothing to play with.
