Called the police last night

I was woken up at midnight last night by a screaming woman at the next building over. A group of people were "talking" about something. I didn't really follow it but I heard a girl's name who lives over in this building, something about pills, and "don't you put me with that. I'll eff you up!" over and over again. It sounded like there was about to be a fist fight so I finally called the cops. . . who took their sweet time getting here.
Of course they stopped screaming and denied that there was going to be an altercation. The police took their word for it and left within minutes. Then they were back at it and screaming at each other again.
Annoying. Most of my neighbors are really nice people but there are some real dirtbags here too.

Next time I would record it so you can show the cops the recording then they will believe you..

@NJChicaa Yeah now that they say it's not legal to record things - Keep that in mind if it happens again.

That is the thing about apartments you never know who your neighbors are going to be. Even townhouses can be like that too, where I used to live..I remember one night a guy was pounding on his door and kind of screaming in a guttural way..He was probably wasted..but it was scary. Of course it was the middle of the night.

In China,we had to endure the noise in the village,and the police won't care about this situation,unless the noisy people are gambling or fighting.So i never call police for the noise pollution.As a poor people,we have to learn to get used to it.
Surely,if you didn't like the noise,you can be the officials of the communist party,and you will enjoy a royal life.The people will try their best to please and serve you.But it's just a rare privilege for a few rich people.

The walls are so thin that you can hear a mouse squeak. Sorry the police didn't stick around to catch them.
