I will have to start my day. Thoughts. Being a granny.

It is a shame. But I have been mylotting and watching TV all morning. As the day goes by, I think more about my lunch. And I start thinking also that I should sweep my dining room floor. Yesterday I called my youngest grandson on Tania´s side. I never call him because he is in Spain and I feel I might not have much to say to him. But now Felipe went to Germany and Diego is alone in Sevilla. I felt ashamed. He was SO happy to be called by me! I told him that I did not know the time difference but as I was uttering the words I knew it was not all the truth. I will call him once a week. He needs his grandmother and I will have to learn to be a better grandmother for him.

OIur son in Melbourne has been calling us very regularly since the pandemic started. I'm sure he was concerned for us but now I think perhaps he is a bit lonely too as he's been working from home for ages. And now he's in even stricter lockdown with a curfew so I must make the effort to be in touch with him more.

Sometimes all you need is to hear that happiness in a voice to know just how much you really mean to someone. Congratulations for being the grandma he needs.

This is my rebel grandson so I had decided not to do it. Yesterday I decided I would never give up on him.
