Another Festival Today is : Jandhyala Purnima.

Today morning we having Jandhyala Purnima. This festival also known as Upakarma day . This festival mainly celebrated in Andhra and Telangana regions. Jandhyala Purnima is observed during Shravana Purnima.
Very few members known about it, in my family regularly we do this function in my home.
I think lot of them don't know about it. It us simply Ritual of changing sacred thread on Shravana pournami.

@nela13 in India we having plenty of casts lol. I am also very low about it. Because I don't make a friendship using cast lol.

Hindu Brahmin males change the holy thread ( poonal ) today worn across the left sholder by chanting Kamokakshi mantra 1008 times and doing Sandhya vandanam. Sweet payasam made of milk is also prepared and served.

Yes Brahmin all very well known about it. But some other cast also followed it. Many vyshays follow it. Because we are vyshays lol.

Yes we prepare my food today with pit adding onion and garlic. Prepare Sweet and Sundal. No other changes.
