What's for dinner tonight?

When I was up in Montana, I did do some cooking. I tended to use the same pans and dishes over and over, and took them down to the creek for washing. This was one of my yummy dinners up there. I just fried up some zucchini and pre-cut stew meat and called it good. I used only butter and salt to "flavor things up." What the photo doesn't show is the big loaf of French bread that I soaked up the juices with. I got three such meals out of a $6 package of stew meat and two big zucchinis. What's for dinner tonight at your house?

I haven't had a grilled cheese in a long time. What kind of cheese will you use?

@CarolDM It's not "sharp" enough to make me happy. Or maybe it would be.

@TheHorse Right now Velveeta is the only cheese I have. It is easy enough to cut for the sandwich.

@wolfgirl569 I don't eat many hamburgers in my "old age." But I enjoy them when I do.

It's Friday now. I skipped my bacon and eggs yesterday. Don't want to get tired of them. Will have them after my second cup of coffee.

Mike and I had some errands to do so we stopped by a sandwich shop we like and got a Philly cheese steak for supper. We don't often eat out but this is one of our favorite local spots. Well local as in the county next to us. We don't leave our county a whole lot anymore. With his dad's illness and passing we just have been staying close to home.

That doesn't look like a lot, but I am sure it was good. What did you season the beef stew meat with, and was it tough? You usually have to cook the crap out of it.

Doesn't it kind of "self-clean" once you get it up to a certain temperature?
