People Don't Like Long Posts on Mylot

I have seen people don't like to respond in the posts which are a little big. I like to write and also I like to say a lot of things. But the way I see it, people mostly react to the smaller posts. So I was thinking to make my posts smaller. I like mylot but this kind of thing breaks my heart. I wanted to say a lot of things, even the community is really active, they always have other options so they just ignore.

Yes many people don't like big posts hear because it is discussion platform lol.

So discussion can not be long? Suppose I am discussing my birthday, or anything which might take a few words and also of course may be it's not going to be that interesting. But I am posting this only because this is a discussion platform. Only thing I wish that it would be really good if people read it, I like lengthy discussions so I'd be really happy.

@sparial02 coming to me I like both short and long lol. But lot of people don't put their time to read big discussion lol. Just skip and go for others.

Yeah I have realized that. Cause I do make long posts, and I see only few replies. People mostly ignore them. It is not that long though, but still...

@amitkokiladitya Hm, I understand. This is a discussion forum and I don't know what they mean exactly. Discussion's can be long but yeah, earning money is the only important thing here. I am pretty sure that is the only reason for the people to stay active here. That is why I am here though, but still I thought people going to read at least.

I think people don't even try to go for it. Open the posts, see a long posts and then close it and moves on to other post

I see, i think most people here are same. Actually I write lengthy post sometimes. Not like huge lengthy, a little lengthy and I see people dont reply much on those posts.

Yeah I think everyone likes that. But I kind of like to explain things or incidents in details which can make the posts a little lengthy. Regular life stories may not be interesting always, all I can say support of others should be a nice thing for someone like me.

When there is a topic I want to start a discussion with, I'm either trying to keep it short, sweet and simple or if I can't do that, I break up the post into two separate posts.
It's kind of like a part one, part two thing. I don't remember when I last had to do that but I know that I've done it before.

I have long said, a site like this is simply not a writing site. Most people who are here are both not writers, and not really readers (although many ARE). So, the vast majority of people here are not going to pay attention to anything that isn't short and sweet and to the point. Just is what it is. I think the more people understand that, the better they do here.

You can always write long comments. Not everyone is going to read long things regardless of where they are.
But let me ask you something please.

I understand. But sometimes the main oint of the story remains in the last line. So huge chance you can miss that. This a place where I think everyone supports each other by likes and comments, so the person who writes a lot, he is not committing a crime though, but we should support them too.

I do love all types of contents but again it depend on times and attention of the contents. When I see long contents, its makes me to feel some deep research work
