The US is in for four difficult years

Next January will see the inauguration of a new American President - an elderly white man, whoever it is. It will either be Trump returned or Biden as his replacement. I think we can all work out what "four more years" will be like - a repetition of the nonsense and stupidity that has already been experienced. But what if Biden wins? How different will that be? I am sure it will be different, but not necessarily in a good way. I am not convinced that this gaffe-prone old man will be particularly effective as a President. I fear that he will be weak and subject to getting pushed around. His best bet will be to make clever appointments to the offices of state and let those people get on with the job - if they are up to it all might be well, but if not? There is a third possibility, which is that Trump wins and is successfully impeached - there would appear to be some dark clouds on the horizon that might well cause trouble for him. The new President would then be Pence - and that is not a prospect that anyone should see as a desirable one.

Oh my goodness, no matter how you look at this matter there is nothing good... unless they all get too sick to be Presidents and a new younger man (or woman) will become the next President.

Yes and no. I wouldn't dare predict the future except to say the future seems very uncertain. We know the future can be predictable though never certain. I just think with the state of not only of one country but in the entire world there is more uncertainty than normal. I couldn't advise anyone on what is politically best but I can provide a fact. Fact is even if a world leader did nothing but make speeches look at the difference between trump and Biden. The decision making, I'll leave out of this comment. Strictly from the point of view on a leaders ability to address which isn't everything but is never the less important... The Fact is: trump causes division, good or bad that will never change while Biden actually can deliver a constructive idea.
Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden blasted President Donald Trump's divisive rhetoric on the protests over the death of George Floyd. #CNN...

I suppose that Biden could be like Jimmy Carter - well-meaning and reasonably effective, but not up to dealing with an unexpected crisis. I was frankly shocked when the Democrats chose Biden as their candidate. I would have much preferred to see tomorrow's rather than yesterday's man as a potential President.
