How fast time flies! The truth is, the first half of the year 2020 went by unnoticed, but not because of the Covid19 virus that became pandemic; the main cause, the mortality and morbidity rates, the anxiety it caused to many peoples, etc. For us educators, especially me who is a part-time clinical preceptor, handling students their skills in hospital setting was not accomplished. It is disheartening that my level 4 nursing students were not able to graduate this end of second semester. And it will be September next month. I wonder how our Christmas will be, when the whole world will be quiet, everybody inside their houses, or the front liners giving their lives for the safety, health, and recovery of those afflicted with the virus? Our government here also show ingratitude to the front liners(health care givers). A lady senator even downgraded nurses and doctors like saying "they should do their jobs". After being bashed by netizens, she immediately said she was referring to the government officials to 'do their jobs'. I fervently hope that the incoming year will be much better than 2020. I hope the virus will die down and become any ordinary virus; I hope there will be world peace (no kidding); I hope our government will become more transparent and honest, and our president will limit himself from cursing the people; I hope other hopes as well. September, October, November, December, then 2021. Will we have a worry-free world?

I just realized that now. Next month will be the last 4 months of the year and it seems like our lives are on a standstill and going nowhere. My sone is supposed to be in college now but their school postponed their opening from august to september. He finished secondary school last March and still on vacation since then. We are all on waiting status hoping for the coming days to become okay again.

@ridingbet I have a feeling that I may soon follow suit if things do not go well with the company's financial well being. Good luck to me...

I do not know what it's going to happen. I fear the virus will be here again by the end of August. The number of new cases in increasing in Europe, there are too many new cases again. Americans will vote to elect (or re-elect) their President, we will see how 2021 will be.

my big brother is on isolation in his house until August 15. he tested negative on nose swab and blood workup for the virus. it worries him that he messaged my sister to be always safe at home especially my son.

@ridingbet All those coming from your country must quarantine when they come back here in Europe, it is a safety rule for all those who come from highly contaminated countries. I only go out once a week grocery shopping and I always wear my mask.

the fact is, there is no discovered treatment yet, and DU30 wants to be vaccinated from the Russians first once the vaccine arrives.

yes. i cannot forget what she tactlessly told during their election campaign before that 'nurses should not study harder anymore because we will only be -yayas- at home', that farmers should not receive much for the rice they sell, and now, the front liners specifically health care workers 'should do better with our jobs'. worse. if she gets infected, i hope no nurse or doctor will treat her.
