Visiting a relative from abroad

My wife got a call that her uncle in the US arrived and is in a hotel near my wife's office. My wife's sister was urging her to visit their uncle and aunt who just had been tested for covid. I said no. Wait for the result before you go visit. Most of the cases now are from those coming home from abroad.

Good advice to your wife, wait until the result come back, the USA are the most affected nation... no matter what Trump says.

@LadyDuck the uncle and aunt left the hotel this morning to proceed to their home in the province. We do not know the results of the test yet so I am wondering why they were not quarantined. That relaxed policy may have caused the cases to rise.

I'm surprised that your wife uncle was allowed to travel from the US to the Philippines. So much travel is restricted right now due to the virus.

In the news yesterday, there were 124,000 from abroad. I don't know how our country is being run now in this pandemic era. We are having 6,000 cases but in the past 3 days just 3,000 plus in a day.

@moffittjc it seems that our government has surrendered already. Let us wait for the next announcement.

@Alexandoy You have a very good point. So, did she wait for the results before she went to visit him?

@Butterfingers this reminds me that Filipinos were scared of Chinese. You know what our president said? Do not discriminate the Chinese. We had less than 100 total cases in March. Now we have more than 120,000.

Oh that I think is the best that she wait for the results to come out before trying to visit them. I hope everything is going to be okay. travelling and visiting is such too risky nowadays.

Good decision. It's hard to just go visit while it's not confirmed yet.
