Homicide detectives Becky and Ben are sent to an upscale apartment building to investigate the stabbing death of a young woman, found in the laundry room behind the washers. They question the people there and find out that she was a nanny, employed by Mr. and Mrs. Haagen who live on the 11th floor. As they head up to talk to them, they come across another nanny that tells them the young woman's name was Deanna and that she had overheard an argument between Deanna and her boyfriend the day before. Becky asks her if she knows what the argument was about, she says that he accused Deanna of having an affair. Becky asks if she knew his name and she tells them it is Brian Wallace. After they question Deanna's employers, they head back to the station to find out where the boyfriend lives. Becky finds him in their records and they head to his residence to question him. He is very co-operative and tells them that he knows Deanna had an affair with an older man, because he had followed her one day.

Not the way I would go with that. It's your story. Me, I would have had the boyfriend cagey, sounding cooperative, but not really. But that's me. Otherwise, it's good. I can't wait to find out whodunnit. I'm sure it's the boyfriend.

I am glad you are having fun with this. I've read both parts and like them. Whodunit's are amusing to me, but I'm very picky. I don't like reading detective novels unless the detective is an amateur, I don't know why.
