I admire the way that 16 year old Mount Olive North Carolina resident Mackenzie Hinson is using her time by making food in the kitchen of her parents home to be delivered to the senior residents in her community. McKenzie began her not for profit group called "Making A Difference" six years ago when the persons in Wayne County were struggling to have a meal inside their homes. McKenzie is a teenager who likes to assist persons in her community who have suffered tragic losses of their homes due to natural disasters like hurricanes, tornadoes and the current Coronavirus pandemic. When McKenzie's family suffered damage from Hurricane Florence to their home, a disaster relief group named Team Rubicon came to assist her family rebuild the damages to her family home. Maybe McKenzie was inspired by the disaster relief groups to give back to her community by having a food pantry where meals are delivered to needy persons when she was younger.
