We had visitors today

There is a dirt track behind our house and our friend sometimes rides her horse along there. If we see her, we will go out and have a chat. Today she was not riding but on foot while leading one of her horse. We invited her in for coffee and sat on the front verandah while we had it. I took out a carrot for Iona, the horse, and Daisy, our friend’s rescue dog, had a cheese straw. Sometimes the photos taken ‘on spec’ come out really nicely.

That's a very nice photo. I used to bring the horse that we rode organic bananas. He was very health conscious.

I don't know any horses that eat bananas either but I know a couple that like ice-cream and fairyfloss (cotton candy).

I am really surprised that a horse would eat bananas. I don't know why. I know Herc didn't like them. lol

@JudyEv they surely do, though it has been a while since I had any pets myself, but do to having spent alot of time on travels, the time at home did not allow for having pets.

@TheHorse Yes, she is pure Arab. Iona is very solid with a lovely wide chest. Some of the endurance horses have incredibly dished faces.

She is supposed to be an endurance horse but at the moment she can't cope with the excitement and starts to rear.
