The last few years I have participated in a "Row by Row" quilting challenge.
You visit different quilt shops and either pick up a free pattern or purchase a kit for the block or row that each shop has designed.
This year, due to Covid 19, the rules needed to be adjusted. For the first time you could order the kits to be sent to you. The name of the challenge was also changed to "Quilter's Trek".
Over the last two months I've ordered quite a few blocks. Some from places I've visited, some from places I would love to visit. I've also picked up a few kits as have my daughters.
To my delight, the mailbox has held many a small packet.
Now I am putting the "rows/blocks" together with an eye to creating a large quilt.
This pretty block was mailed to me from a quilt shop in the state of Washington.
Stay tuned! I have lots of blocks to show.

It's a process. Patience and time....not to mention lots of practice.

That sounds like fun. I am thinking of trying to crochet via youtube like AmberLynn. I could use a hobby like that.

My goal has been to complete a block each day. Mostly, I've accomplished this goal.
Now I need my quarantine to end....I've run out of navy blue embroidery thread as well as fusible web for applique. I also almost out of the silk thread I use for applique. Only 5 more days.

That's very pretty and would fit in well with your Dutch heritage. (I think you have Dutch ancestry, don't you?)

Yes my heritage is Dutch. I had a windmill show prominently on my Quilter's Trek, Take One.

That block shows the Dutch heritage....others are more generic.

Some of the blocks are very imaginative...others can be a bit, ho hum....but they balance each other out and keep things interesting.

I first hear about this challenge. But it looking so difficult to win, need lot of patience and skills to arrange correct images.
Hope you get success this time too.

I've won the prize at our local quilt shop two years in a row. The first year I had to travel to a neighbouring community. (Someone had already turned one in at our local quilt shop.)
