I have always been interested in the dark side of life. Curious and, perhaps a bit demented myself I wonder what makes people do some of the dark and depraved things they do. I was watching "Haunted History" on the History Channel. A story about two New Orleans residents who refused to leave during the Katrina disaster in 2005. Addie and Zach were their names. They had met in the French Quarter, fell in love and shared an apartment. They worked as bartenders. Nearly a year after the disaster Zach is found on one of the rooftops having committed suicide. He leave dog tags from his stint in Iraq and a letter detailing the gruesome murder of his girlfriend, Addie.
As most know New Orleans is home to a form of Voodoo. During the Katrina disaster it is believed that many of the more active Voodoo temples were left unmanned. Possession is said to give victims feelings of negativity and thoughts of suicide. Many paranormal experts think that what happened with Zach was due to his being possessed.
When detectives read the suicide note and followed it's writings to the apartment described they found a horrible scene. A femur bone as well as some other bones were found, a skeleton was boiling in a pot on the stove, a garbage bag in the refrigerator contained the torso of a female.
Paranormal experts believe that Zach was suffering from PTSD after his stint in Iraq. That he was possessed by a spirit connected to the voodoo belief. That he was a "sitting duck" having refused to leave New Orleans during one of its most spiritual times during the Katrina disaster. I don't necessarily think so. If folks remember the news stories of Jeffrey Dahmer. He was a quiet and seemingly harmless character who was hiding skeletons and other body parts in his apartment. He was lonely and didn't want to let these people he victimized go so he kept parts of them with him. Ugh!
Demonic spirit or Jeffrey Dahmer revisited? I think it was the latter. What do you think?

Definitely Jeffrey Dahmer revisited. I don't believe in any of that voodoo stuff. Interesting story. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

I don't either. Or most other 'religions'.
