A scared little raccoon.

So I got home from work yesterday morning to find the scared little baby raccoon on my front porch. I think he was there to eat the cat food I leave out for my cats. But as I got home th dogs went nuts when they heard my car in the driveway and started jumping on the door and scared him so bad. When I found him he was just huddled in the corner. I got him to move to the outside of the railings.. Safer there if the dogs ran out the front door... I took this pic. And almost an hour later he was still there. I tried to offer food. But that scared him enough to jump down. He spent the day under one of our unmoving cars.. I left some food and water for him.

I hope that cute little raccoon is no longer scared and have eaten the food that you left for him or her.

I had 2 babies hiding on my porch last night because the 'local' dogs came running through the yard @minx267 ; so I feel ya. I generally get about 18 per night to eat the cat food I put out for them.

I haven't seen him. but there was some dirt in the bottom of the water bowl yesterday- which is usually a sign.. as they clean their hands in the water dishes after they finish eating.

Me too. hard to tell he stuck around for the night and ate all the food I left him.. but I hope he found a better place after that.. It's hard to tell. I left food again tonight. if that is gone. he is probably still around.
