A concerned citizen is being praised by the Duncanville Police for bringing up to their attention that a one year old child was inside an auto that was locked up while the relatives of the child were nowhere to be found. Duncanville police officer Pinilla was able to break open a window and assist the one year child who was crying when he was taken out of danger and placed inside the squad car of Officer Pinilla with the air conditioner on so the child could recover from his experience inside a locked auto with the windows up until the ambulance came to take the child to a local hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery. The Duncanville police believe that the relative of the one year old child did not mean to harm the child due to an error of not checking to see if anyone was inside the auto. However the case is being referred to the Child Protective Services to determine if a crime has been committed.

Good lord, that was careless. I hate to think what would happen if no one had noticed.

Why would anyone leave a 1-year-old child in a car? That's what arms are for. Or a stroller if you have back problems. Glad the child is expected to revover.

That is a good question why the parents left the child inside the auto. Thank goodness for the concerned citizen who alerted the police.

I agree with you since I know a lot of former police officers who have mentioned in public appearances that seeing a child die in their presence is heartbreaking.

Why is this still happening? It is outright negligence to leave a one-year-old in a locked, closed up car. I'm glad the police were able to get the child out of the car.

That is a good question why parents leave their children inside locked cars when they are being told on television to make sure to check to see if everyone is out of a car.

Such news breaks my heart! I don't yet why a person leaves a little boy locked up in a car, even if it's for a minute. In a minute anything can happen!

That little one year child shouldn't have been left alone in the car. Cars get too hot when they are parked in the summer. It is also dangerous to leave dogs in a parked car in the summer. I hope the parents learn from their mistake. I wish this little baby boy to stay safe.
