Good morning.
Last night I did a whole lot of nothing really. I watched some TV shows, a hockey game and some videos on YouTube. I know, pretty exciting right? LOL
I was reading this article this morning and I am amazed at how easy we are offended these days. The dumbest things in my opinion, are setting people off. The worse part, people losing jobs over it. I’ll give you a little background, so it maybe makes a little more sense if you are unaware of the situation.
The National Hockey League started back up for their playoffs, and in doing so they have basically quarantined players and coaches to a hotel for the time of the playoffs, they play in one of two stadiums with no fans for the games.
They refer to it as “the bubble”. They have been limiting the contact with anyone outside of hockey.
On Aug. 20th there was a game and during the TV coverage the two announcers were talking about the competitive advantages that the bubble presented to the players. One of them, Mike Milbury, said, “ if you think about it, it’s a terrific environment with regard to – if you enjoy playing and enjoy being with your teammates for long periods of time, it’s the perfect place, not even any woman here to disrupt your concentration”
Now I guess that last part was offensive. That is the part that forced him to step away and will not be announcing any further games and at this point it is not clean if that is temporary or permanently.
I don’t understand this, how is this offensive?

How is it offensive when he was stating the obvious? These players are men, and men are attracted to women, and when men see pretty women, their brain focuses on one thing and they lose all concentration on everything else.

@Bensen32 This "I'm offended by everything" crap has got to stop. We've become a nation of crybabies.

I heard about this this morning. But I didn't read the article, just the headline. Yeah I don't understand how that is offensive. This Sunday I went to church and then after church I got stuck on youtube listening to music. My best friend had posted a cryptic picture on facebook and my mother said the picture was a song. So I listen to the song and then listen to other songs.
