Normal White Blood Cell count should be between 4.5 and 10.5 and most doctors feel that the 10.5 is a warning. Since 2013, my daughter Lisa has had counts of 12.0, 14, 17 and now 19.4. Seriously????? And the doctor hasn't said crap up until now!!!!!???????
Well guess what? Now at the age of 50, she has Chronic Lymphomatic Leukemia and Small Lymphomatic Leukemia. The first one is cancer cells in the blood and bone marrow and the second one is cancer cells found mostly in the lymph nodes. In other words, she has non-Hodkin's Lymphoma.
Treatments? Chemo up to a year, stem cell transplant, etc., etc., etc. She's going in for more tests on Friday. I am devastated!!

This is very devastating news. I'm so sorry that your daughter is going through this. I hope that she has a fighting spirit and a positive attitude to tackle this cancer head on. I will keep both you and her in my prayers and ask for God's healing powers to help her overcome and beat this cancer.

@nanette64 Stubborn as a rock in a good way, or bad way? If she's stubborn in a good way, she isn't going to let the cancer beat her. I've been praying for both you and your daughter.

Me too on the treatment @rebelann . I can't believe this. You'd think with my medical issues I'd be the one to croak first. Nobody wants it to be their child first.

I'm so sorry to hear that.
It's very dissappointing to know that doctors whould have known that her levels were not normal, its almost as if they just let her sick. I am sending my best wishes for you and your sister, she will get through this,
