It Scared Me

Last night, it was almost dark. The kitchen window caught my eye. There was a glow from outside and something hanging from the top of the window. It looked like a snake, a very large snake with a triangular head.
A big snake? Wow! I fussed and fumed wondering what to do. I decided to get closer to see what I was dealing with. It turned out to be an oven mitt that I washed and hung on a hook to dry. It stretched some and was longer than usual and the darkness inside and the light outside made it look even bigger.
I was so glad it was not a snake. Have you ever been scared by an ordinary household object? Please share your story.

We have snakes here, but none poisonous that I have seen

Yeah, sometimes I see weird glowing lights and I realize it is from a clock inside, or something electronic that is on in here.

But I used to live near a place with glowing lights in the night, but I never went to see if I could see them.

Yes we have 2 big windows in the living room and we keep the shade open at night. I see things out there sometimes but now we have 2 big lights that shine in the driveway so makes it easier to see out there.

My reflection gets me sometimes too
. Glad it wasn't a snake though, that would be terrifying.

@jvicentevalera It was a great relief to know I was only dealing with an oven mitt. I think I can handle that.
