The house that built me, was my Nonna’s home, our safe place, a place for laughter, for tears, for memories.
My Nonna made sure that her home was welcoming, and she always had plenty of food to offer, she gave me my love for cooking and so much more.
Miranda Lambert’s song The House that Built Me, always bring back memories of floral wall paper, pencil marked door frames, from where. She’d keep track of our height, Faith, books and food, it reminds me of throw rugs marked with cinder spots, and the gentle smell of rose water perfume.
