...phrase that I am hearing from my students lately. The effort of translating the words or sentences into their native language makes me feel bored when still saying 'I don't know' by them.

Even if this is what I am often hearing, I am still hopeful that they will help themselves to learn the English language.

The "Why" "What" and "How" words are the often I've heard from my 8 years daughter... Unending questioning...

It is good to use why what and how. At least, your daughter is curious. Some of my students are so passive.

You described it well. I am tired of repeating words or sentences with zero level kids. The worst part when they are playing while studying at the same time.

I doubt if they will do the homework. They have other homework to do. So it will be not feasible to give them homework from me.

I just go with the flow, I cannot force them if they are really not into learning the language. I felt bad for their parents who are paying the classes online for them.

I don't like that phrase either! With 5 children I hear it quite often, especially since I Home School 3 of my kids.

I hope you don't answer and give them the translation when they can find it themselves. If you do, they'll remain lazy forever.

I only translate the questions for them. I don't talk that much because it one of the aims. Some can send their answers in their native language through the chatbox. Then, I will translate their answers.
