I shopped from home this morning

That is to say, that I went around the house and gathered several more of the quilts we have stowed away. You see, the make shift couch idea is also brilliant because I have most of what I need already. Oh sure, I'm going to buy lots of memory foam and some more pillows and blankets, but I have plenty here as well. I even found a blanket that I forgot about. That one is on my bed at the moment. It's a quilt with lots of stuffing in it. I also put more books in the canvas bags ready to be taken to the thrift store. I'll carry a few by hand as well, and that will be most of them gone. I don't feel like writing today, but I am managing to write a few sentences. I'll probably go back and read and edit today. Right now though? I'm going to get offline. I have to figure out what I am going to make with the chicken tonight.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Do you have a crockpot and can put potatoes and carrots in and water and make it in that.

@Hannihar Someone else's things are in front of it. I asked them to move the items, but they haven't. I asked them to do so three years ago.

@popciclecold It definitely wouldn't hurt. I know of one place around here that has become a thrift store. It was a cat cafe, but they can't operate in that capacity with everything going on, so they turned into a thrift store for the time being. Lots of people are supporting them.

I hope that you can. My thrift store is technically a corporation, but they sell used things that they get from buying from the public and through estate sales.

Well, if you have enough foam it should work.

Yes, I'll be getting enough. Probably three twin sized pieces of it, two for the bum, and one for the back. Plus all the pillows I'll have. It will be plenty comfy.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I like to mix and fry different veggies on a pan as well, and it adds a healthy element.

@Downwindz I really like it. It has a bit of heat in it's flavor, but it's delicious.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes, huge storm surge up to 20 feet expected. Tornadoes are already whipping up also in LA. So far no rain here, but rain has hit MS an hour further away from me. Just depends on the outter bands and where they hit at.

@kareng Just saw an update on it and it looks as if it's expanded a little more. I'm in NC, so we'll get rain but nothing else. I hope people stay safe. Everything's different with the virus still going on too.

Yes, I hope most people choose to evacuate. It's getting scary down there.

Actually.. That laundry basket that I need to go through now has more quilts piled onto it. So I'm disorganizing in a way.

Yeah, I love making pepper steak, but I hate all the chopping and prep work that goes into it.

@JimBo452020 Guess I wouldn't be helping her cut veggie either. I'm impatient and just cut until I'm tired of doing it. I usually buy my onions and bell peppers already cut up.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I dont do prep lol, Yvonne does all that for me. She says I am not careful enough and make veg all different sizes etc. So she does it correctly for me.
