Risk vs Reward

Had a nice nap, I was feeling tired and since I had nothing going on I decided I should take a nap. I guess I needed it since I slept for just over 2 hours. It's still quite warm outside with a fairly high humidity. We still have not gotten the rain they keep saying is coming. They now say we will not get any rain till maybe Thursday. I hear that 1200 plus students tested positive for Covid-19 after the school reopened. Sure sounds like it is totally safe to reopen schools. If I had school aged kids I would not be sending them back to school. There just seems to be to much risk verse the reward at this time.

I felt like napping earlier too but instead I just started on my cleaning as I hate napping. So I cleaned and got my shower for the day now I can relax and do whatever I want too.. That's alot of students testing postivie - the kids here start school on the 14th. My nieces n nephew are going back and I'm nervous for them but hopefully their school follows the strict protocols and prevents them from getting it. We shall see how it goes.

I like a good nap, of course I would rather it be shorter, 2 hours is to long. Hope the best for you family. I don't trust schools to follow the rules. I hope they are going to but I have heard a few stories of kids now catching it now that they are back to school.

@Bensen32 yeah I hope that's not the case here but only time will tell. Some schools are having kids go on certain days and other days virtual learning. But where my nieces go to school they have to go Monday thru Friday.

@Blondie2222 Yeah, I have hear schools have different rules. Kind of scary to think about all the kids in class at one time.

I dont think they are thinking about people's health. Maybe they are taking advantage of this time to cut back from the population.

Well that might be it, then it would make sense why they want people to go back to school.

@Bensen32 I think it's also under the discretion of the parent if they want to risk it. Some people seem to pretend that everything is normal already even if it's not.

@cherriefic Yeah, I know if I had kids that age I would not be sending them back to school yet.

The virus is still there and even here 80% of it is happy hypoxia (people without symptoms).

Don't really know what the authorities consider these days, the virus is still out there, and I don't know how they encourage people to send their children to school!

I don't know what people are thinking when they send their kids back to school.
