Baking bread for the first time

I became experimental about baking these days. The last few days, I tried to make a banana coffee chocolate cake combination. Tonight, I tried on cheese rolls but the yield did not fit to the tray so I put the last three remaining at cup cake pan. For me, it tastes good but one thing for sure is lacking. The desired size was not achieved considering that I rested the dough for two hours. Perhaps, something wrong with the leavening agent.
