I did it! I completed that 1,200-word writing order in just two hours. I did have to stop here and there (we thought someone knocked, and then the pets needed us), but I still completed the order by around 5:15pm or so, and I finished proofreading it a little after 5:30pm. It's 5:53pm now. So now I know if I can isolate myself and stay off other sites, I can complete even a lengthy order in just a few hours. It's kind of an eye-opener for me, and it's a good realization that if I put in more effort, I can manage my work schedule better. I'm going to write my clients and then shut my laptop down for now. I may get back on it later to do other non-work-related things, but for now, I'm taking a break. I'll start putting my work schedule tonight or tomorrow, preferably tomorrow, as it's easier when most of my clients answer me back (that's why I'm writing them tonight). Otherwise, the rest of the weekend is mine. :) And I hope you all enjoy yours. Take care, everyone. :) Photo Credit: Pixabay.

That's wonderful you got your work done in a couple of hours and didn't let anything distract you. Eye-openers are awesome.

Thank you so much! It was a great eye-opener. I don't HAVE to make this a literal all-day thing. I'm trying it again today.

I closed the distracting sites as well when I 'm writing. It gets done faster that way.

That's what I've been doing. I just popped on here to get through a few notifications before starting on my next order.

That's great that you can do it in such a short time. It would probably take me longer.

Thank you. It usually does take me longer, but sometimes I have myself to blame because I tend to procrastinate. Other times it's the research, proofreading and editing, but I do know that my own behavior is part of the problem.

@tammys85 Do you have a time frame it must be done in?

@lovebuglena It varies per order. The one I'm working on isn't due until Tuesday, but I want to finish it today.

It takes me longer to do something; I’m a perfectionist after all. That’s awesome in two hours you did a lot. I’m thinking of joining a freelance website but I’m worried about the deadline of the work.

It's okay to want to do things right. Just don't stress yourself out. And thank you so much. With Fiverr, you can set your own deadlines. For me, it's two days for 300 words, four-days for 500 words and five days for 700 words, and a week or longer for 1,000+ words or bulk orders. I'll also put up an away message if I'm swamped, which prevents others from placing orders until I remove it.

@meowch I can totally understand what you mean. I joined YEARS ago, but I didn't make the leap and add gigs until about two years ago. I would suggest looking through their articles about selling on Fiverr, it's really helpful. And you're welcome. :)

@tammys85 I’m waiting for the right time to join Fiverr. I still need to develop my skills hopefully the sooner the better. You gave me an idea how Fiverr is like, thank you.
