How can I lose something in my room?

I have reasons to put passport and keys in just one place during 55 years. I discovered a long time ago that things get lost. Once, when I was 13, and after some burglars entered my house, I hid my watch before going on vacation behind a giant wardrobe´s leg. When I came back it wasn´t there. I searched it for years until I moved out when I got married. I found it 3 years ago, when my nother died. It was inside her jewels box. Today I haven´t been able to find my nail file. It should be either on my night table or on my bed. But it is not there. Yet the other day I found the piece with which I tie my dressing gown. It had been lost for over 2 weeks. Do you have these problems?

your mother probably found the watch while sweeping or moving furniture. but how come you never mentioned it to her or she never mentioned it to you?

@hereandthere It wasn´t valuable. And usually those gifts were from both of them. All that happened around 60 years ago so I don´t remember.

I might not have mentioned it because I was afraid that I had lost it. (I suppose). But my mother should have given it back to me.

YES! I start to believe that there are gremlins moving things while I sleep.

Cell phones are easy to find if you have 2 phones. You just dial it.

@db20747 I will never set the phone on vibrate. It would be a good way of losing it foverer.

Many times we have other things on our mind as we put things down somewhere. It happens when we are distracted; and then we can't remember where we put it!

Yes I do have these problems. I lose stuff in my own room and will later find them in the same room. It can be annoying at times

We always have that experience. When we neede something its not on their respective place, but if we dont need it anymore it just shows up.and some gypsies told us our lost things are just inside the house
