There are a couple of nails in the left rear tire of the truck I bought in Montana. I have no idea how they got there. I called my usual tire place to ask how much it would cost to have the the nails removed and the tire fixed. I have given them thousands of dollars of business over the years. They quoted a price of $35 and a time of about 45 mins.
I put my bicycle in the back of the truck and headed over. They guy at the desk said there wasn't enough tread to fix the tire (it is virtually new), and that he would have to sell me a new tire. He also told me that said tire would not be available until tomorrow.
I got the hell out of there and may head to the "Barrio," where there are many tire fix-it places. All I want is a tire that will get me back to Montana, where I can license my truck, and not worry about being stranded by the road.
How do you deal with people that offer you little help?

We go elsewhere unless we are in an emergency situation...then we're stuck. Good luck!

We heard that story one time too. Went somewhere else and got it fixed fast.

Tell them you will get them a meal, or fast food. Sometimes offering a meal to people can help. I have done it before, and worked out!
