We are staying on the farm and we normally don't get any vendors on the farm to sell the Vegetables.
But when I was with my son, I observed that there were no Hawkers or the Vendors seen who used to sell the vegetables on their carts in the Colony!
This may be because of the Pandemic of Covid 19!
I think they have been banned by the local authorities as the area comes under NCR!
What is the position at your place?
Are you getting the hawkers or Vendors selling vegetable and other things at your place to make your life easy?

When I was a child there were some street vendors of vegetables in Paris. They disappeared when the wholesale market that was in the center of Paris was moved in a far suburb. I just had a look, it was in 1972. There are markets for vegetables, but no more street vendors.

They are making their life easy, After lockdown, People chose not to roam. Hence they go to super market to get all stuffs at once hence causing these road side sellers losing their customer. So they started selling it this way.
Nowadays they come on specific days.

Vegetable peddlers are actually nowhere to be found on the streets any longer. There used to be, at least in my area. Yes, the pandemia has forced them to cease peddling. But vegetable kiosks have sprouted. Fruits, too. I do patronize these local grocers. It is good to have one's own vegetable garden in the home.

@AKRao24 Organic, too. At least if the vegetables are our own produce, we know very well that the leaves are free of pesticide.

markets here have almost returned to normal.
during the first community quarantines, i saw there were farmers and big farms who were not able to ship tonnes of their fresh produce outside town. I don't know what happened to those. either those foods have expired or some govt officials have been creative. eg. some have bought the produce from the farmers and they gave it to the people, so that no one really lost.

@Overflowing , Nice to know that you are from Philippines ! By knowing the place where one lives we can understand many things!

Although she does have a place too.
We used to have vendors who sell fishes and roam the streets but i haven't seen them recently.
