So...there's a comedy sitcom that is going into it's eighth season. Well they are getting ready to either start filming it or start airing the eighth season. One of those things.
That show is Mom. I have watched just about every episode of the at least the first six seasons. When we had cable it was what was on at live 5-9 in the morning, so I always caught a little bit of it when I had to be up to let dogs out and get kids up.
Anyhoo, today (maybe yesterday) they announced that Anna Farris, who is the main character Christie Plunkett is leaving the show. I have a feeling that is not going to do so well for the ratings of the show. I mean Allison Janey plays the main characters mom, and she's hilarious. So there is a chance that the show could still go on for a couple seasons after Farris departs and still be decent, but I have my doubts.
Not very many shows that I can think of being into were just as good after main characters left. I watched One Tree Hill up until two of the main characters Peyton and Lucas left, and then the show went downhill. I was kind of into Grey's Anatomy until they killed Derek Shepard off, then it just started sucking. So I have my doubts about them continuing mom and it being as good with Christie gone. But I guess we will see.

I do like Bonnie, but I think part of why I like her character is because of the dynamic with her and Christie. So I don't know what to think. It will be interesting to see how shes written out.
It's produced by the same person who did Two and a half men. And when all the crap went down with Charlie sheen they had him hit by a train on his honeymoon on the show.

Oh, girl. I love this show, and I was so disappointed when I read about it. I almost wish they'd recast Christy because the character is so good. Sure, a recast wouldn't be as talented, but I think the show will go downhill now. This is only one of two current sitcoms I even still watch.

I loveeeeee that show too. The other half watches it with me. He's still weirded out because they changed the actresses of Mandy and the other daughter lol, and Ryan.

I have watched Mom since the beginning. I wish they would recast too like they did with Becky on Roseanne. Remember that?
What's the other sitcom you watch? I don't watch a whole lot either. We watch a lot of Hulu. I've watched The Conners. And holy cow is Roseanne so much better without Roseanne lol

There's Hulu there for sure. You may not have it, but I'm almost a hundred percent its available there.

Oh no, really? That's awful! I love the show....and it definitely won't be the same. You can't get rid of a main character from a show!
