The number of Covid-19 cases in India is showing a worrying rise. Having around 77% recovery rate and low mortality do account, but do not solve the issues. So the Indian government is now thinking of collaborating with Russia on their recently declared Covid 19 vaccine. The collaboration would be in further research, testing and production of the vaccine. Some highly impacted population groups and areas in India could even be administered the vaccine as a trial. India is also trying to bring its own vaccine and also collaborating with US and Oxford researches as well. Let us hope that some good comes out. Source: Times of India news website

The US is working on 3 vaccines that may work. It's too soon to see if any are truly effective and safe.

@DianneN Yes the Astra-Zeneca plus Oxford tie up vaccine had 1 trial person getting an adverse reaction and they have stopped trials. I hope other vaccines are able to overcome such side effects.

Yes. Let's hope that we get some positive results soon. I would blame a lot of these recent infections to the careless irresponsible acts on behalf of citizens. Government has opened business and lifted bans for economic reasons. But I see people flaunting safety measures everywhere

@Nakitakona Yet the high number of new cases and the spread to village areas is a matter of concern.
