The Run For the Roses

I began my series of songs about flowers with roses and end it with roses. Just recently the well-known horse race The Kentucky Derby was run. Dan Fogelberg wrote a wonderful song about the experience of racing horses and about horses themselves.
"The Run For the Roses" is a delightful song and watching the horses in the video is wonderful. This song was commissioned by TV station ABC for the telecast of the 106th running of the Kentucky Derby in 1980.

@RasmaSandra That's a great photo. The police horses are incredible with how they behave at riots, etc.

My neighbor across the street always goes to Kentucky for the Derby. This year was no exception.
