Planning to Resign

I don’t know if this is midlife crisis or really just pure unhappiness. After enduring it for a year I am afraid I cannot continue with my contract anymore. My workplace environment has become too toxic I find myself going to work with a heavy heart. After getting yelled at unreasonably by a theatre staff last week I’ve reached my limit. So I applied quickly for another job. I had my interview today and waiting for the result. They said they will get back to me by Monday. I am a loyal person and also I endure a lot of crap but then comes a point in life when my only goal is happiness and inner peace.

In your profession sometimes you need a break. When you get a little rest you can perform your job well 100 percent

That is absolutely true Danna. I think I just badly needed a holiday. And the understaffing is just very apparent at the moment.

Why not talk to this staff? I am sure ut can be fixed. If not, then it is about time to let it go.

The problem with where I work in is when we talk it becomes awkward instead of resolving the problem. My manager rang theatre after I cried down the ward and days after the incident it’s still awkward going up there.

@flapiz I guess you really need to find another job if not happy with them anymore. It is just me about this idea. It is still up to you to decide.

It’s a 3 year contract and I’ve only done a year. But I think a year is good enough to know if I like the place or not. But I’m looking at paying £3,750 for breech of contract.
