I like to purchase for my monthly supplies from Amazon and Flipkart both and look at the deals and offers available along with shipping charges and delivery date before I place the order and previously I was ordering from Flipkart due to no shipping charges and today I saw products available on Amazon at same price and without any shipping fee and little cashback offer too so I opted for it and already received my cashback too so it's around $1.5 saved today so YAY to Amazon.
What are the things you check on e-commerce websites before placing the order?

If it is something new I am trying out, I look for customer reviews and feedback. Else for my trusted and used brands, I check for offers and discounts. I order my grocery mostly on Grofers. Have got good deals there.
Congratulations!! on your saving

That's good to hear .
Has Flipkart started delivery ? Because the last time I ordered a watch from them(2 months ago) they did not deliver . This time there is a game I want to purchase . But the price of the CD is around 800rs in amazon but around 470rs in flipkart for the same product . I want to save up some so ordering from flipkart might be better but I am not sure whether they will deliver or not .
Which would be a better option ?

Yes they are delivering here but there are few things which they aren't delivering. Of course you should wait and order from where it'll cost you less

Now a days, I mostly order groceries based on my need and urgency.
Sometimes I have ordered a few more things - they too as per need or priority.
There is a site cashkaro where you can get an extra cashback on Amazon/Flipkart/Myntra products.
Do you use that also?

Customer reviews and the actual picture of the item they received, mode of payment, length of time before my delivery arrives, where the product will come from, pictures and prices (compare it with the manufacturer's own), etc.
