From right to ba ba ba ba ba. Lol.
I think we are minions and the movie got that conversation from us. I am not claiming but assuming.
There was a story that made me laugh and I still grin everytime I remember it.
There were 3 people on the elevator. Two Filipinos and one American.
The elevator stopped at the 5th floor.
Guy: Bababa ba?
Girls: (duet) Oo, bababa
American: Are you guys aliens?
Lol
Bababa ba? - is it going down?
Baba - down
Ba - added syllable for future action
Ba - is it? We normally add ba at the end of the sentence to ask question. Kumain ka na ba? Have you eaten already?
Here are other meanings:
Baba - chin
Baba - low

Languages are all odd in my opinion. People who aren't native to it will find things very strange, but for our own native tongues things like this is very normal.
Also, your title made me think of the old song "Barbara Ann" It starts off with "ba ba ba ba barbara ann"

Interesting and confusing. Languages are so different, aren't they?
