Last Friday, everybody was at home. Then, my kid brother called me and my sister through Messenger, asking where my son was. I responded that my son was at home. Brother told me to let my son go to him in front of a bank near the hospital. brother was severely having difficulty breathing (dyspnea). he said, "Manang (big sis), tell your son to come quick". he was turning so pale and nostrils were flaring. My sister heard me giving instructions to my son. She was once again hysterical and unable to think correctly. She kept on saying "Lord, Lord". I, who is more relaxed than her at times like that, told her to just inhale and exhale deeply and not be anxious. Then calmly, I told her if she wants to go to the hospital or she should stay at home. (Son already left driving the car). Sister said she will be the one to go. I agreed she should go. I gave her money for her fare. Later, there were images on Messenger of my brother, son, and her in the tent (triage). My brother had sudden asthmatic attack, that as soon as he felt relieved, asked the doctor if he can go home. The doctor wanted my brother to go to a specific ward for COVID cases; brother declined because he knew the cause of the dyspnea. Besides, it will be more harmful should he step in the ward for COVID cases. My siblings and son came back home after 2 hours. Right now, brother is resting in his house; son is in his computer, while I am here on laptop making this discussion. My sister? As usual, she is enjoying watching the Korean series of her idol. "IT IS BEST TO BE STRESS-FREE AT STRESSFUL SITUATIONS LIKE THESE!"

you were handling 3 people there - your brother, your son and your sister. i'm glad he's fine and your son was available. what caused his sudden asthma attack? heat? tiredness?

my kid brother was a smoker. only after we told him of the progression of COPD did he stop smoking. the effects are now ongoing. he suddenly had dyspnea because it was so hot that day, and he went out to buy his meds.

Stressing makes impossible to take quickly and logic decisions, it's very bad.

@ridingbet I try to keep my stress-free attitude, but it does not always work, I have a blister on my upper lip today, I contained my stress, but I am paying this.

that is why since i had the cardiac condition, i have already managed to keep a less-stress or stress-free attitude, though at times, i feel like a bubble about to burst with her attitude.

good thinking of your brother to call you. I am sure as you are instructing him to breathe, he somehow relaxed. Good thing he was not admitted. It will be hard for him especially he has asthma

he did not think about getting confined. i told him it would be better for him to be at home rather than in the hospital where there are many covid cases.

It sounds like your sister having panic disorder. Correct me if I'm wrong.
