I am just done with the work time for Monday and can spend some time here mylotting before I switch off my laptop for the day. I will go for another half an hour power nap post that. And then tackle the evening chores after that. I had one 20 minutes nap in the mid morning break and that was really helpful. I was energetic in the later classes and my meeting with parents later.
I am glad that all got over in time or rather few minutes before the time.
And all went well with the meeting with parents. My art class and art as therapy has been getting a lot of appreciation from parents. They feel that it is really helping their children with focus, creativity and sitting tolerance. Their behavioral issues are also improving with these art sessions and so is their confidence and self esteem
Now I get to read your posts here. Enjoy mylotting

Any nap more than an hour is not nap but a sleep.

@arunima25 I know she has a book on Goodreads called, Reaching and Teaching Students with Special Needs Through Art. I have it in my library. Her name is Beverly Leavett Gerber. It would be an excellent book for any school library, too.

Wow! I would like to know more about it reading her books if you can share. I have started art therapy a few years back and I am still on my learning journey. And it works wonders..I have seen that.

@arunima25 nice! that is nice. How many students are there in a class? Do you have age range per class or depending upon their cases?

I am into special education since last 10 years now. I started with art therapy around four years back. And have seen good benefits in all children..regular as well as those with challenges.

Art is thought to be a waste of time by many parents here who are more academic oriented. But glad that they are seeing the good effects.

Oh! Yes it is very helpful. In my career I have been using art as therapy for both adults and children. And it does work.

I am a full time employee this year. My work timings are 9:30 to 2;30 on regular days with two breaks ..one 30 minutes break around 11 and an hour lunch break around 1-1:30. I had to stretch the work timings for few days to accommodate for parents meeting for this term
