Update on my Grandpa 9/16/20

Rupert, Idaho
September 16, 2020 7:11pm CST
The results were kind of helpful this time around. There is a 70% chance he has cancer somewhere hidden caused by an antibody. If not, they'll give him some kind of infusion to reverse the effects of the antibody. He'll get a petscan soon. At least we know more now..even though cancer is scary.

I'm sorry he has possible cancer. I hope the Catscan and infusion helps. Yes, cancer is scary.

I am sorry too, but we are all relieved the doctors are closer to an answer. I don't think he'll get the infusions if it is cancer...but I guess the pet scan will tell if it is cancer or not.

@just4him I hope not too, but the doctor said it's a 70% chance that it is. But he also was thinking it was Parkinson's from the beginning.

@MommyOfEli2013 I know that scar tissue can "hide" things. I don't know if that's his case, but.... that's what happened to my mom. How is he dealing with all of this? Best to everyone it's hard

@FayeHazel Oh really? That's good to know. It could, cause I am not sure where the cancer would be. Sorry that happened to your mom. I am not sure how he is dealing with it, he doesn't really complain/talk about it.

Yes, we are relieved that they have it narrowed down to these 2 things. And that is good to hear. What's most scary is if it's cancer it's hidden and they'll have to go find it.

I'm so sorry. I'm glad you have answers, but I know it's not the answer one would want. I hope they can treat it and soon.

Thank you, I appreciate that Cancer was never one of the things I thought it could be...however if it is, now they know what to do to try to get him better.

@MommyOfEli2013 You're welcome. And right, and hopefully he can be treated for it, and recover from it, soon. If you ever need to talk, message me on Twitter or FB (I'm quicker with messages on those). I'm here for you.

@tammys85 There is 30% chance it is not cancer and he'll just need infusions which would be better. Thank you though, I appreciate that - and I will keep that in mind.

Well the chance that it is cancer is pretty high. Hopefully if it is they can get it all and he can recover. The other option might be better though if he would just need infusions
