...a robot can be your companion. It is called 'robot parow.' It is a seal robot that can be at your side. If I am going to retire, I think I wanted to have one. Perhaps it will be my buddy for the rest of my life. It is being used in Thailand and Japan. What do you think? Image Credit: web-japan.org

@MALUSE I see no interest in a robot. I can talk to my washing machine and have the same pleasure. The cat of my neighbors visit us every day, it's a sweet cat, you feel they understand you.

I agree. Sometimes they might not be available. Unless I have a partner with me at all times.

@Shavkat That is a great idea. It could be my Sophie's companion.

@Shavkat Yes, she will, but, need to find one first and see if she like it or I could train it to run errands for me so I do not have to go out.

I am sure you have the reason to say it. As for me, my immediate family is my good companion forever. But then, I can still be open to new things in terms of the technology's advancement.

I would prefer having a dog than having a robot to cuddle or hug.

You have a point. It's better to have pets than robots. I also think these robots are expensive.

That's a good idea for those who are lazy to take care of pets or maybe not capable of taking care of one due to reasons like ill health and old age.

I agree. I know that some elders cannot see some of their family members for being in a homecare facility. This is the best option for them.
